Tour with stories in Alvar Aalto’s masterpiece
The Säynätsalo Town Hall is one of architect Alvar Aalto’s most significant works. It enjoys a unique position in the history of modern architecture. Aalto designed the town hall as a gesamtkunstwerk – a total work of art – as evidenced by the details and furniture designed especially for the building.
General guided tours of the Town Hall are held opening days during the summer season 1.5.-15.9.2020 in Finnish at 12:30 and in English at 14:30. Guided tours are included in the entrance fee.
